Start your adventure Underground

From Monday 6 February major landscaping works will start at our London site, as part of our preparations for the Centenary commemorations of the foundation of the Royal Air Force in 2018.

During these works our London site will be open as normal from 10.00 am daily, offering visitors a fantastic day out. However, parking will be heavily restricted. This means that during our most popular periods, school holidays and weekends, we cannot guarantee parking will be available.

Therefore, rather than bringing the car, please use public transport: travelling to us is quick and convenient, courtesy of London Underground. Take the Northern Line, Edgware Branch, to Colindale Station from where we are a short 10 minute walk or use the regular bus service from outside Colindale Station (the 303 to Edgware) will drop you off just outside our main gates.

If you are travelling from St.Albans, Luton and Bedford area, please take the Thameslink or East Midlands Train Service to Mill Hill Broadway. Here, you will be able to take the 303 bus to Colindale. This service will drop you directly outside of our main gates.

We would like to apologise, in advance, for any inconvenience that the temporary reduction in our parking facilities may cause over the coming months and look forward to welcoming you to the Museum.
