Parking charges
Our car parking fees are:
0-7 hours – £7.50 per vehicle or £6.50 when pre-booked online.
You can also pay on the day.
The income generated is used to assist in meeting the costs of maintaining the Museum’s national collection and of operating its sites.
March to October: the Museum is open from 10.00am - 5.00pm
November to February: the Museum is open from 10.00am - 4.00pm
Blue Badge holders – charges apply as above.
Coaches are free of charge.
Parking charges are applicable for visitors arriving on motorbikes. If there is more than one motorbike per bay, please purchase one ticket only.
Change for parking machines may be obtained from the Admissions Desk in the Visitor Centre (glass-fronted building). All parking machines accept both card and contactless payment.
Other Information
The Museum offers designated parking for disabled visitors which is near to the entrance - charges apply as above.
Visitors with Assistance Dogs are welcome. Please be aware that there is no parking with shade on a hot day.
