RAF Museum London

Admission to the Museum is free of charge.

Low level barriers ensure excellent viewing of exhibits for all visitors. There are wide aisles in the hangars ensuring access for pushchairs and wheelchairs is very easy. A limited number of manual wheelchairs and motor scooters (weather permitting) are available for loan on site. We do not charge a hire fee but would appreciate if you would be kind enough to leave a donation. These are available on a first come first served basis at the Check-In desk on arrival in Hangar 1.

You are welcome to bring your own food and have a family picnic outside in the spacious grounds.  An outdoor picnic area with seating can be found near the playground, and an indoor area is located behind the 4D Theatre in Hangar 3.

The Hendon Kitchen

Our new restaurant serves hot and cold food and drink in the unique setting of a 1931 heritage building from RAF Hendon. It will cover all your families food and drink needs during your visit at the Museum. There is a large selection of grab and go sandwiches and drinks, along with a lunch menu. 

Situated between Hangar 2 and Hangar 6 and open daily from 10:00am – 5.00pm every day (4.30pm - 5.00pm takeaway service only).

The Sunderland Café

Need a cappuccino and a light snack? This is an ideal stopping point for when you and your children need a recharge. Sit under the magnificent Short Sunderland flying boat or take away to picnic outside.

Situated next to our Sunderland flying boat in Hangar 1 and open weekends and holidays only from 10:00am – 5:00pm (4:30pm - 5:00pm takeaway service only). The Café has seating for 30 guests.

To find the Sunderland Café, just walk through our Main Entrance and turn left. The Café is directly opposite the Sunderland Flying Boat. 

The Museum is currently located within the expanded Ultra-Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ).

Depending on your car model, you may need to pay a charge to drive to the RAF Museum. 

If you and your family are arriving by car or motorhome you will be required to pay for parking.

The charges per vehicle including blue badge holders are:

0-3 hours – £7.50 per vehicle 
3-6 hours – £10.00 per vehicle 

Payment to be made at the end of your visit, using the payment machines located in Hangar 1.

Alternative transport: Coaches are free of charge if booked in advance and motorbikes are £7.50 for the whole day.
