Car parking charges

Car Parking fees are:

0-3 hours – £7.50 per vehicle on-site 
3-6 hours – £10.00 per vehicle on-site 

Coaches are free of charge if booked in advance. A vehicle with 10+ seats is deemed to be a coach. Any vehicle with fewer than 10 seats must pay the standard parking tariff.

Blue Badge holders – charges apply as above

Parking charges are applicable for visitors arriving on motorbikes.

If there is more than one motorbike per bay, please purchase one ticket only.

Payment will now be made at the end of your visit, using the payment machines located in Hangar 1. 

These machines will also provide you with change and will also accept payment by card.

Can I use the Museum car park when doing the school run?

Yes, there is a 30 minute grace period where people can park for free. This grace period is set up to allow taxis and cars dropping visitors off to get in and out of the car park for free. After 30 minutes car park users would need to pay the minimum charge of 3 hours.

I am dropping someone off to visit the Museum. Will I be charged?

What time does the car park open and close?

The car park opens at 9.30am and closes after the last visitor has left, usually around 5:30 – 6:00p.m.

Can I pay to extend my stay in the car park?

Yes. Please ask for assistance at the shop till in Hangar 1.

What if I forget to pay?

If you forget to pay before leaving our site, don’t worry.

You can now download onto your smart phone the Trust app. This will enable you to pay any outstanding charges.

The Trust app may be downloaded onto I-Phones and smartphones using the Android operating system.

Why can't I pre-book parking?

With the closure of Colindale station until December 2024, we anticipated increased use of our car park. While the station is closed, parking will operate on a first come, first served basis.  For coaches and vehicles larger than 10 seats, park as normal and to give your registration at the Admissions desk upon arrival.

The Museum offers designated parking for disabled visitors which is near to the entrance - charges apply as above.

The Museum has electric vehicle charging points. Charges apply.

Visitors with Assistance Dogs are welcome. Please be aware that there is no parking with shade on a hot day.
