Our London site is open every day of the week, including Bank Holiday weekends. Get ready for take-off and pre-book your timed entry now.

General Opening Hours 

Admission to all areas of the Museum is free of charge and donations are welcome. Please note, vehicles may not park on our site before 10.00am, unless part of a pre-booked group. 

Weekday hours

10:00am - 5:00pm

Admission times to our individual galleries are as follows:

Hangar 1 until 5:00pm
All other Hangars (2 - 6) close at 4:30pm

Weekend hours

10:00am - 5:00pm

Hangar 1 until 5:00pm

Hangar 2 until 5:00pm
Last entry 4:45pm

Hangars 3,4, and 5 until 4:30pm
Last entry 4:00pm

Hangar 6 until 4:45pm,
Last entry 4:30pm

Museum opening times are subject to alteration. Some of our areas may be closed to assist curatorial work and maintenance. Also, from time-to-time, some areas of the Museum will have to be closed for Corporate Events. We aim to keep inconvenience to a minimum whilst making as many exhibits available as possible. Please refer to our London homepage before setting off on your journey.

Hendon Kitchen

10:00am - 5:00pm (Takeaway Service only from 4:30pm - 5:00pm)  applies March - October, Weekdays Only.

11:00am - 4:00pm (Takeaway Service only from 3:30pm - 4:00pm) Weekends and Holidays.

General Closure Dates

The Museum is closed 24 - 26 December 2025 and 1 January 2025.

Every effort is made to keep the entire Museum open during scheduled opening times, is not always possible for health and safety reasons. We are not always able to give advance notification of any closures. We apologise for an inconvenience that this may cause. 

Please note: The Museum regularly undertakes a programme of maintenance and conservation, so some exhibits or Hangars may be temporarily inaccessible.
