Conference and Exhibition
Our versatile and flexible rooms are available for all manner of meetings, conference and exhibitions. From our custom built Lecture Theatre seating up to 220 people to our versatile Dermot Boyle Wing boosting 480sqm of uninterrupted floor space, all daytime corporate guests have free access to the Museum itself during opening hours and receive complimentary onsite car parking.
Sunderland Suite – Hangar 1
This flexible meeting space, situated in the recently refurbished Hangar 1 overlooks the iconic Sunderland flying boat and can comfortably accommodate 50 people cabaret style or 100 people theatre style. Refreshments and lunch can be enjoyed on the mezzanine looking over the exhibition.
Lecture Theatre
Our custom built Lecture Theatre has tiered seating for up to 220 people with fold down writing tables and a fully equipped projection room.
We are also able to offer the capacity to create virtual or hybrid presentations from the theatre, casting to a wider on-line audience.
With all of the equipment in place, presentations could not be easier. Simply turn up with your laptop, plug it in, and off you go! This ensures minimal set up time and adds to the smooth running of your event.
Refreshments can be served in adjacent rooms – the Art Gallery or Halton Gallery.
Art Gallery
The elegant Art Gallery is the perfect space for a breakout area for conferences in the adjacent Lecture Theatre. Guests can network whilst overlooking the stunning views of the Historic Hangars below.
The Art Gallery can also be used for smaller lunches and receptions.
Halton Gallery
The versatile Halton Gallery can be used as a breakout space in conjunction with the Lecture Theatre. Located on the ground floor with adjacent access to the Historic Hangars, the Halton Gallery is a bright and airy room with plenty of power, large windows allowing plenty of natural daylight and also a partition screen to divide the room.
The Halton Gallery can also be used for small exhibitions, receptions and smaller cabaret style meetings.
Dermot Boyle Wing – Locking Room & Cosford Room
Boasting 480 sqm of uninterrupted floor space, ground floor access through a large loading bay, three phase power and air conditioning, the versatility of the Dermot Boyle Wing is endless.
The Dermot Boyle Wing can accommodate a wide range of events including exhibitions, trade shows, auctions, product launches and car clinics. The Dermot Boyle Wing is made up of two rooms, the Locking Room and Cosford Room. The rooms are separated by a folding wall and can be used together or separately.
The Dermot Boyle Wing can also be used for large cabaret style conferences for up to 160 people or theatre style up to 250.
Boardroom
With an abundance of natural daylight, boardroom seating and air conditioning the Boardroom is an impressive location ideal for smaller, more exclusive meetings up to 20 people.
Located conveniently close to the Lecture Theatre, Art Gallery and Halton Gallery, this room is perfect as a breakout area or exclusive room for VIP’s and guest speakers.
Museum Grounds
With a beautiful garden in the middle of the site, the Museum grounds can accommodate private events in the evening and team building activities during the day, and marquees can be set up on this area providing either additional or alternative facilities.
