Meet a Female Fighter Pilot and Navigator

01 November 2024

Join us on 1st November 2024 as we welcome one of the first female fighter crews in the world – Helen Seymour, the RAF’s first female typhoon pilot, and Rosie Steevenson, a former frontline Tornado navigator. They will be sharing their experiences of life in the RAF.  Recommended age – 8+

Talk Information

Helen and Rosie will talk through how they came to join the RAF, sharing experiences from both an individual and a crew’s perspective. This will contain rarely heard insights into the life on the front line. How did they work so well under pressure, and how did they learn to operate so effectively in such a high-performance culture? How do they hope to inspire future generations? Their talk in the lecture theatre will answer these questions and more.

Date – Friday 1st November 2024

Time – 1pm

Location – Lecture Theatre in Hangar 3

Q&A Information

Rosie and Helen will move to hangar 4 to answer questions beside the Tornado, the aircraft they flew in together.

Date Friday 1st November 2024

Time – 2:30pm

Location – Tornado in Hangar 4
