Are you up to the challenge this Easter Break? It’s chocks away as the RAF Museum is braced and ready to teach young aviators all the skills they need!
We’ve come up with 5 key skills a pilot needs to rule the skies with Pilot Training’s activities specially designed to test them all. Learn aircraft knowledge in Aircrew Needs You, test your reaction time with the Museum’s new challenge, master military strategy to find the fallen parachutist, train your teamwork skills with your fellow recruits and develop your problem-solving to crack the codes this Easter to earn your wings.

There are six stages to success!
We are going to go through key skills in this interactive show as we train for the planes in World War Two. We need Pilots, Flight Engineers, Bomb Aimers, Air Gunners, Navigators and Wireless Operators to take the fight to the enemy! Can you pass all six tests and gain your skills to survive?

- Date: Saturday 5 to Wednesday 9 April
- Timings: 11:00am & 2:00pm
- Duration: 45 mins
- Tickets: £6.50 (Adults will require their own tickets but must remain with their children at all times)
- Recommended Age: 4+
Find the Fallen Parachutist
A fallen parachutist has had to evacuate their aircraft and is now trapped deep in hostile territory. It is your mission to use the art of codebreaking to discover their exact position to recover the fallen hero!
Each code solved during the session will aid you in this process but time is of the essence so do not delay!

- Timings: 11:00am, 1:00pm & 2:30pm
- Duration: 45 mins

Problem-Solving Pandemonium
The RAF Museum has partnered up with the Happy Puzzle Company to put even the most experienced pilot to the test!.
The session will include a variety of challenges all that require collaborative learning skills, perseverance and strategic planning in order to find the solution. Challenges include; balancing 24 penguins on a moving iceberg, creating a road map with a logical route, colour-coded jigsaws and much more!

Tornado Teamworking
Tornado Teamworking sessions are designed to get children working together as so all can earn their wings as a top pilot.
Young aviators will be separated into two teams by their Wing Commander before competing in games like Splat!, Zip! Zap! Boing! and Tug of War to be named the best squadron.

The RAF Museum Reaction Challenge
Using the reaction lights, young pilots will compete against one another throughout the day to see who has the best reactions.
Whoever wins the session will get bragging rights as Top Gun but whoever is at the top of the leader board at the end of each day will win a bag of RAF Museum themed goodies!

- Date: Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 April
- Timings: 11:00am to 1:00pm then 2:00pm to 4:00pm
- Duration: 15 mins
- Tickets: £5.00 (Adults won’t require their own tickets but must remain with their children at all times)
- Recommended Age: 4+
Pilot Training’s activities are aimed at children ages 4 to 12 but aviators of any age are more than welcome to attend!
