Join us this February Half Term for STEM Week!
From an awe-inspiring maths-themed Bubble Show to a super Laser Tag sessions, there will be so much to keep all entertained all day. Aeroplanes require engineers to be experts in all things Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths so where better to hone your skills than the RAF Museum!
Laser Tag
The RAF Museum has partnered up with LaserTag2U, to bring Laser Tag to the Museum for the first time ever!
Young cadets will have a 45 minute session to shoot their fellow participants as much as possible in order to claim their place at the top of the leader board. The guys have got loads of fun games planned so don’t miss out on your chance to grab the bragging rights as the top space cowboy!

The Bubbly Maths Show
Back by popular demand, the RAF Museum is proud to welcome back the Bubbly Maths Show!
In this fun and engaging show, the world of maths and science will come to life via balloons and GIANT bubbles.
Award winning, Guinness World Record holding artist Caroline Ainslie will take you on a journey full of bubbles, colourful giant balloon shapes and laughter as she engages children to love learning and enjoy mathematics and science! Audiences of all ages will exercise their maths “muscles” without even realising it, while thoroughly enjoying mathematical puzzles and activities with lots of audience interaction and massive visual props throughout.

Airfix Make-and-Take Workshops
Come and join us for one of our Airfix Make-and-Take Workshops, where families can come together to build a model of the Sopwith Pup. The kits can be made on-site or taken away to be completed at home.
Kits, paint, glue and brushes all included.

Paper Airplane Designing Contest
Have you got what it takes to make a stream-lined jet that will go the distance? Here’s your chance to find out by designing and refining your paper plane in attempt to win the RAF Museum’s Paper Airplane Designing Contest. The current record is a whopping 19 metres but we’re sure that is to be beaten this year!

STEM Week’s activities are aimed at children ages 4 to 12 but aviators of any age are more than welcome to attend!
