VE Day celebrates the end of the Second World War for Europe and 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of this auspicious day! Join us at the RAF Museum Midlands for a weekend of fun, interactive workshops, and a stage showcasing the amazing talents of many performers.
VE Day Concert
Come and celebrate the spirit of Victory in Europe Day with an unforgettable day of music, remembrance and community pride. Enjoy classic wartime songs, patriotic anthems and 1940’s joy!

Welcome by the National Service (RAF) Association
Veterans from the National Service (RAF) Association will start proceedings with a welcome and a poem to commemorate Victory in Europe.
RAF Voluntary Band Cosford
The RAF Voluntary Band Cosford will be joining us for a selection of uplifting tunes.
Bluebird Belles
Bluebird Belles return to the Midlands site by popular demand. This 1940s vocalist group will have you wishing you’d taken some swing lessons!
VE Day Bunting Workshop
Come and help us create a union jack themed bunting display. Colour in, add a message of good will, write down a joke or simply draw a picture and add your flag to our bunting strand!

Runway Reflections: Selfie Station
Don a pilot uniform and set up your camera at our specially created photo opportunity and take a selfie so you can keep a memory of your special day!

Accessibility: The props are regularly inspected and sterilised with spray sanitiser. This activity will be lit specially for photos and include a backdrop to pose against. During busy periods, this can be loud. This is located on the lower level of the National Cold War Exhibition hangar and can be accessed via lifts or the stairs.
