Top Gun kick starts RAF Museum movie weekend

The ultimate cinema experience returns to the Royal Air Force Museum Midlands on 2-4 September for a weekend of family favourites on the big screen in a unique outdoor setting.

Held in partnership with ‘Outdoor Cinema’, film fans will enjoy sing-a-longs, new releases, and nostalgic classics on a huge LED screen, nestled amongst the VC10 and Hercules aircraft. The original Top Gun movie will launch the film festival weekend on Friday evening, followed by the iconic musical Grease and Sing 2 on Saturday, and recent movie hits Elvis and Encanto on Sunday.

Friday 2 September

5.30pm – Elvis

Families visiting the Museum over the movie weekend can enjoy feel good films during the immersive cinematic experience, in addition to exclusive late night access to the Museum’s hangar 1 before the film begins. For extra viewing comfort, guests are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and camping chairs, along with their favourite movie snacks.

Doors open to Sing 2 (PG) and Encanto (PG) at 12.30pm, while the evening showings of Top Gun (12A), Grease (PG), and Elvis (12A) will begin at 5.30pm. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult for 12A rated movies.
