A fantastic attraction for all the family
“An exciting, educational and fun experience for all the family”
A wonderful day out and for free. Even if they were charging it would be worth a visit to see this collection, there are some wonderful machines here. There is something for everyone if your into aviation no matter what age you are.
Couldn’t believe just how much there was to see, especially as you only pay for parking! A great day out and one of the very best places I’ve visited in the country, value for money! Mostly indoors so perfect rain or shine for all the family!
Interesting morning out. Kept our 2 year old grand daughter interested with the large selection of planes - many indoors so perfect for a winter day. Café also serves really tasty food and the play area is great for toddlers.

War in the Air
See the world's oldest Spitfire
The War in the Air collection is home to what is believed to be the world’s oldest Supermarine Spitfire Mk I, K9942.
The Spitfire forms the centrepiece of our display, where the RAF’s frontline fighters, the Spitfire, Hurricane, Gladiator and Defiant are face to face with their German rivals the Me 109 and Ju 88.
Book a tour of our War in the Air hangar, get close to the world’s oldest Spitfire and find out more about the aircraft exhibited.
